Galactically cool gaming fun with Astropods: A journey into space for young explorers

Off to space with the new space sets from Silverlit. With the Astropods Children aged six and over become astronauts and go on a cosmic mission.

Preparation: tinkering, building and gluing

The Ultimate Mission core set includes a rocket and a Martian vehicle with a real metal detector. But before the fun of the game really begins, the young inventors are allowed to set up the two “devices” first. A total of 18 individual parts must be assembled. The illustrated instructions, which are unfortunately only in English, show which part belongs where. A screwdriver and possibly the help of an adult are required to install the batteries that are not included in the kit. The same applies when sticking stickers on the rocket and the Mars robot.

Small but delicate, it requires a bit of dexterity.

The start: fill in water and action!

Once the parts are assembled and the two astronauts are in their “vehicles,” the young astronauts really only have to do one thing: fill the rocket with water using the canister — be careful, not too much, otherwise it will drip out of the bottom — and turn on the toy. And rocket noises start to sound out, cool lighting effects amaze the young astronauts and then, of course, that's the steam coming out of the rocket nozzles below.

Adventure in space

5... 4... 3... 2... 1... zero. The rocket takes off and flies directly into space, where the Martian vehicle is finally used. A really cool piece that starts beeping faithfully when metal (plates) is found. Needless to say, the young space fans are no longer aware of what is happening on Earth and are completely absorbed in their galactic adventure.

Particularly cool: There are a total of four different sets and with each new one, the children's room astronauts are expanding their deployment options in space thanks to a new space search engine, additional astronauts and a mission map.
